Holography

James Therieau created these repeating holographic patterns in an optical laboratory he managed for a global packaging and labeling manufacturer. He carried out every stage, from design and laser recording to fabrication of the finished surfaces. These proofs were developed as master tooling for the large-scale production of micro-embossed holographic paper. The videos show how their finely structured surfaces redirect light, changing their appearance with the viewing angle.
